I’m Christian.
I grew up in Colorado and I photograph weddings across it. From the first message to the final gallery you are dealing with me — nobody else.
How I got here
I trained to make films.
The training is why the photographs look the way they do.
I came to photography through film and cinematography. I spent years learning how a shot is built — where to put the light, what a lens does to a face, why one frame feels calm and another feels wrong.
Then I stopped wanting to invent stories and started wanting to photograph the real ones. A wedding is better written than anything I was going to come up with.
What stayed from the film years is how I work: I light on purpose, I care about the edge of the frame, and I’d rather wait four minutes for the light to do something than fire off two hundred frames hoping.

The day is the job.
A wedding gets one take. That is the whole of it.
I’ll give you enough direction that you never have to wonder what to do with your hands, then I get out of the way. Most of what ends up in your gallery happened while you weren’t thinking about me at all.
I keep a timeline, I know where the light will be at five, and I’ve photographed enough days to see the small disasters coming before they arrive. Nobody has ever missed their own sunset on my watch.
And it is only ever me. Not a studio that sells you a name and sends someone you have never met on the day. You book me, you plan with me, and I am the one holding the camera.
